As Program Supervisor you'll provide clinical and administrative supervision to care management staff in Ulster county, ensure that team members maintain program standards, prepare reports and ensure comliance with agency and funder requirements. In addition, the Program Supervisor also maintains a small client caseload and participates in comunity provider meetings as needed.
Master's degree with supervisory experience in a Human Services setting, OR a Bachelor's degree with at least two years in a supervisory role with three years providing direct services to a chronically ill population. Access to a car and valid driver's license also required.
As Prevention Specialist you will deliver HIV/AIDS, STI and HCV prevention activities to the heterosexual population within Dutchess, Orange, Sullivan and Ulster counties. You will outreach to the target population and to service providers in the four counties. You'll use electronic and web-based social media, provide various methods of HIV/STI/HCV testing, and provide referrals for support services as needed. You'll also present prevention/risk reduction counseling/services and data enter program information into the agency system. Based in the Newburgh office, this position requires travel to and within all four counties.
Bachelor's degree in education, health, human services or related field with experience in outreach, HIV/STI prevention/counseling; OR a high school diploma with two years experience in peer education, HIV/AIDS Counseling and/or disease prevention. Access to a car and valid driver's license also required.
As Prevention Specialist you will conduct outreach at gay bars, community centers, LGBT events, etc. and engage and recruit men from the YMSM population for individual level and group interventions, HIV testing and counseling, and STI screenings. You will also present safe sex workshops at colleges, high schools and community centers and conduct online outreach at social networking and media sites.
Bachelor's degree in education, health, human services or related degree with working knowledge in two of the following areas: peer education, HIV/AIDS, counseling and/or disease prevention. OR a high school diploma with two years of this experience. Must be able to interact with the LGBT community and be comfortable discussing sexuality issues. Access to a car and valid driver's license also required. Phlebotomy training and certification, and background with MPowerment (DEBI) a plus.
